J.M. Coetzee

 Hi all the people that visit this blog!!  Today we are going to do a biography of John Maxwell Coetzee  because the teacher said that we had to choose a person awarded with nobel price  in  the last ten years and we have chosen this person because he is one of the four africans that have won this prize.

John Maxwell Coetzee is a writer born in South Africa but he is nazionalized in Australia and he live there at present. He was awarded with the nobel price of Literature the10 of December of 2003 , he is the 4th  african that  receive this award. He spent his childhood and early formative stage between Cape Town and Worcester.  He graduated in mathematics and English at the University of Ciudad del cabo. 
In 1963 he married with Philippa Jubber and they had two children, Nicolas  and Gisela.In 1965 Coetzee entered the graduate school of the University of Texas at Austin, and in 1968 graduated with a PhD in English, linguistics, and Germanic languages.
 For three years (1968–71) Coetzee was professor of English at the State University of New York in Buffalo. After  he returned to South Africa. From 1972 until 2000 he held a series of positions at the University of Cape
Between 1984 and 2003 he also taught frequently in the United States: at the State University of New York, Johns Hopkins University, Harvard University, Stanford University, and the University of Chicago, where for six years he was a member of the Committee on Social Thought.
